Refresh smooth TextMesh Pro gradient coloring
Overview
Smooth TMP Gradient applies a smooth gradient to TMP text. V2 updates from text callbacks instead of performing the old LateUpdate work every frame.
Smooth TMP Gradient requires TextMesh Pro, regardless of the selected text provider. When converting existing text to another provider, text with this component is skipped and listed in the Console.
Usage
Add Smooth TMP Gradient beside the TMP text component.
Enable Vertex Gradient on the TMP component and set its top-left and top-right colors (or assign a gradient preset). Those two colors define the horizontal gradient.
Call RefreshGradient() after a change that needs an immediate refresh.
Notes
This component operates on text geometry. Use Text Effects when you need animated per-character color or motion.
